Top 10: Who is the Fastest Player on the Team?
The need for speed is real. The Cowboys seem to have upgraded there as we've asked many players just who is the fastest on the team. Their answers might surprise you.

9. Duke Thomas – One of the guys not on last year's roster but likely would've made it had he not suffered a late-camp injury. Thomas is usually around the ball and he can do so because of his top-end speed.

8. Byron Jones – Yes, Jones is known more for his leaping ability, but he can certainly run as well. He was timed with a 4.36 at his Pro Day in 2015 at UConn. Some might argue he should be higher on this list but his teammates didn't put him near the top.

7. Cole Beasley – The wide receiver was actually surprised that some of his peers picked him as the fastest. He might be No. 1 for the quickest player, but Beasley definitely has some speed when it comes to getting from one spot to another.

6. Chidobe Awuzie – Because of his stocky frame, he's not exactly known for his speed but there were plenty of wide receivers on this roster who pointed out Chido's high-end speed, which was clocked at 4.43 at the scouting combine in 2017.

5. Deonte Thompson – There was one player on the team who definitely thinks Thomson is the clear-cut fastest player on the squad. And it was Thompson. He might be relatively new to the team but he certainly will garner attention if he can showcase the speed that was once clocked at 4.23 at his Pro Day at the University of Florida.

4. Jeff Heath – Several of the wide receivers on this year's squad say Heath might just be the fastest player on the entire squad. Dez Bryant made that claim last year and it's unlikely that anything has changed for Heath, who definitely gets himself around the football with that speed.

3. K.D. Cannon – Another player not on the roster last year and he'll have to make huge strides to get on the team this year. But if he can use his blazing speed to his advantage, he'll have a shot. Cannon, along with a few coaches say if the race was to 100 yards, Cannon wouldn't get beat.

2. Anthony Brown – He wowed a lot of people with a 4.35 at the combine and even ran faster than that at his Pro Day at Purdue. Brown is one of the players who also picked himself as the fastest and said there's an easy way to find out. "Let's just line us all up and race."

1. Tavon Austin – Hands down, Austin got the most votes of anyone. A few players said this used to be a real debate until Austin got here. The former Rams speedster said no one on this team would beat him in the first 60 yards, but said only K.D. Cannon would rival him in a longer distance.
