Camp Stars: This Rookie Corner Shows Up Again
Trevon Diggs once again keeps making plays and taking advantage of extra playing time.

Trevon Diggs
David Helman: Sorry if I'm being too obvious here, but it's hard not to be impressed by this guy. After getting his feet wet last week, Diggs has cannonballed into things in Week 2. Thursday was his third impressive practice of the week. Not only did he make a leaping interception of Dak Prescott, he also swatted away a pass from Michael Gallup. Even in the reps he was beaten on, he seemed to have nice coverage. The rookie is handling himself well.

Rico Dowdle
David Helman:Â If the coaching staff elects to keep a third running back, I think you have to consider Dowdle the favorite. It's hard to judge these guys in a practice with no tackling, but Dowdle just seems to have that extra juice. He had a rep Thursday where he burst through the "A" gap untouched, shuffled his feet and broke the ball outside down the left sideline. Nobody put good contact on him until he was 12 yards down the field, and he may have been able to break the run even further.

Jaylon Smith
Ambar Garcia: I'm really liking the way that the Cowboys are using Jaylon. Today he broke through the edge twice, pressuring Dak Prescott on what could've possibly been two sacks. He continues to be consistent, showing great athleticism and instinct.

Greg Zuerlein
Ambar Garcia: Speaking of consistency, Zuerlein has been one of the most consistent players throughout camp. So far, I don't think he's missed a single field goal attempt which, for now, is a sign of relief given the fact the Cowboys cut Kai Forbath during the offseason and didn't sign any other kicker to create some kind of competition.

Connor Williams
Kyle Youmans: Without charting every single snap that an individual on the offensive line takes, I believe Williams saw more team action Thursday than any other day in camp. While the edge rushers still had their fun, Williams was consistently holding his own at the left guard spot while blocking Dontari Poe, Neville Gallimore, and Trysten Hill. He looked the part a starting guard would and was a big reason the interior of the offensive line had a solid day.

Bradlee Anae
Kyle Youmans: Anae is the definition of a gamer. He may not be the quickest, most well-built edge rusher in football, but the rookie can get to the quarterback quickly. Thursday, he showed out for at least two sacks, one of which against Cameron Erving, and continued to show that he can keep putting pressure on opposing offenses much like he did at Utah.

Noah Brown
Rob Phillips:Â Brown is putting together a strong stretch of practices. He made one of the best catches Thursday, leaping backward to haul in a pass against Trevon Diggs down the right sideline. He and Dak Prescott just missed on another deep gain down the left sideline but connected later in team drills

Aldon Smith
Rob Phillips:Smith continues to be one of the top standouts in camp as a dynamic edge rusher. But he also showed his ability in run support Thursday, penetrating quickly to stop running back Tony Pollard for no gain in team drills.

Dalton Schultz
Nick Eatman: This guy just keeps figuring out a way to make plays. I know his role might be different on game day because as the third tight end you have to block more and play special teams. But it sure does seem like he's going to be a part of the passing game. He made a couple more nice grabs Thursday in team period.

Dorance Armstrong
Nick Eatman: Every time I looked up, it seemed like No. 92 was standing by the quarterback. Armstrong has been somewhat overlooked with Aldon Smith and Everson Griffen now on the team but he continually gets pressure and is doing so from the stand-up position as well. Don't forget about this guy when it's time to formulate the roster.
