Camp Stars: Big Day For Entire Tight End Position
Here are the Camp Stars – the best players from both sides of the ball.

Zack Martin
Ambar GarcÃa: Today I decided to focus a little more on the O-line. With the injuries and all the shuffling, I just have to go ahead and give a shout-out to Zack Martin. He is just as solid as he's always been. I know this is taken as a given and probably won't surprise anyone, but with Travis Frederick retired and Tyron Smith and La'el Collins still out, it's just great to see Martin still holding up.

Chidobe Awuzie
Ambar Garcia: Chido was enjoying a nice day. He caught my eye at the beginning of practice, made some good coverage, broke up a pass and then later on got an interception. I was thinking 'hmm let me not get too hyped up because we've seen this in previous camps' but as I was finishing that thought, I noticed that he got banged up when he hit the ground on that interception. It appeared to be around his right knee/thigh area and although it didn't seem like anything major, I didn't see him get back on the field after that.

Dalton Schultz          Â
Rob Phillips:A solid day catching the ball for the third-year tight end. Schultz hauled in a red-zone touchdown pass from Andy Dalton and ended the practice with a deep reception from Dak Prescott.

Daryl Worley
Rob Phillips:As good as CeeDee Lamb has been in camp, the rookie hasn't made every single play. Worley, the most experienced cornerback on the roster, made an outstanding deflection on a jump-ball play against Lamb in team drills.

Brandon Knight
Nick Eatman: One thing that didn't happen too much on Monday was DeMarcus Lawrence wrecking the entire practice. That being said, he was blocked much better and so you have to give some credit to Brandon Knight for holding his own there. Knight is now the veteran of the tackle group with the top three guys all out. He did a nice job in the blocking drills and the team period.

Justin Hamilton
Nick Eatman: The more I'm watching the middle of the defensive line, I just keep seeing Hamilton right in the thick of things. Yes, they added Dontari Poe for some beef inside, but Hamilton also can clog up the interior with his 6-2, 315-pound frame. He held his own in the middle run drill today and didn't give up much running room for the backs.

Dalton Schultz
David Helman:A lot of people bag on Schultz because his career hasn't really gotten off the ground yet. This new coaching staff is clearly giving him a chance to change that. Schultz has been an active participant in the passing game throughout camp, and Monday might have been his biggest play. During team reps, Dak Prescott bailed out of the pocket and drifted to his right. He saw Schultz moving with him on a deep crossing route and fired it downfield. Jaylon Smith had good coverage, but Schultz snagged the ball over his head and came down with a nice reception for 25-30 yards.

Chidobe Awuzie
David Helman:Shouts out to the veteran corner for making the play of the day. Everson Griffen blew up the rep for a sack, but since quarterbacks don't get tackled in practice, Dak Prescott lofted a long ball for Cedrick Wilson down the left side of the field. Awuzie was ready in coverage and leapt over Wilson from behind and snagged a nice interception. Awuzie now has two picks during this camp.

Connor McGovern
Kyle Youmans: The battle of the Connors continues to unfold as McGovern had a powerful day at the left guard spot while Williams was limited again. While lining up next to Joe Looney, McGovern dominated opposing rushers like Trysten Hill and Neville Gallimore and helped sure up a banged up offensive line.

Dorance Armstrong
Kyle Youmans: To have an athletic edge rusher like Armstrong at 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds, it's an added bonus for defensive end depth. However, today Armstong showed he's much more than just a depth piece, instead he's a player who could drop back into coverage (sometimes in the slot) while navigating through Mike Nolan's defense.

Blake Jarwin
Mickey Spagnola: Yep, no Jason Witten anymore, the Cowboys deciding to move on after 16 seasons. But his apparent replacement Blake Jarwin sure is showing in the passing game the past couple of practices how much he can stretch the field, especially on those seam routes. And quarterback Dak Prescott has no problem spotting Jarwin downfield, a 6-foot-5 target is hard to miss.

Darian Thompson
Mickey Spagnola: If the last three practices are any indication, Darian Thompson is turning the tables at the safety position. A backup his previous two seasons with the Cowboys, starting just four games, Thompson's play has moved him into the majority of first-teams snaps in place of presumptive starter Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, the veteran free-agent signee.
