Nov. 24

Former Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Switzer, a fourth-round pick in 2017, has been named interim head coach of the University of Tulsa.

Switzer is in his second season with the Golden Hurricane, serving as wide receiver coach and recruiting coordinator.

Tulsa recently fired head coach Jeff Wilson and promoted Switzer to finish the season.

Switzer played just one season with the Cowboys before being traded to the Raiders the following season for Tavon Austin but ended up playing two seasons with the Steelers.

When KaVontae Turpin returned a punt for a touchdown in Week 1 vs. Cleveland, he was the first Cowboys player to do so since Switzer, who had an 83-yard touchdown against Washington.
